Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics Summer Workshop 2016

LAB VISITS:
During the workshop (after the lunch break) we organize lab visits to show you our working instrumentation. Due to the large number of workshop participants (54 as of writing!), we offer this on both Monday and Tuesday so that the labs will not be overcrowded. We will further split you into four subgroups and will rotate between different instruments. Please think about which day (Mon. or Tue.) is better for you. This can be determined when you come to the workshop, no need to tell us in advance. Ideally, it would be nice to have about the same number of visitors both days, so flexibility is appreciated.

The Mass Spectrometry Summer Workshop is organized by the CCIC Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics (MSP) Facility. Our goal is to provide/refresh fundamental information about mass spectrometry and introduce a variety of instruments and applications. The workshop is mostly application oriented and will cover the following topics: sample preparation for MS analyses, proteomics, metabolomics, mass spectrometry (MS) instrumentation, MS modes of scanning, ion activation, and spectral interpretation. This Workshop will also give us an opportunity to get to know each other better, to discuss your needs and initiate scientifically valuable collaborations.

This workshop is offered free of charge to OSU researchers and the local community. Please sign-up so that we know how many to expect.
